The Government of Gujarat has reviewed various scholarship schemes in the state and canceled all the previous scholarship schemes under the Education Department of the State Government. In the name of a new scholarship scheme, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Scholarship Scheme has been implemented. Details of the purpose, qualification and scholarship amount are as follows

Eligibility Criteria for Gujarat Mukhyamantri Scholarship Scheme
- All students enrolled for diploma courses after Std. 10 as well as students enrolled in degree courses (D to D) after Diploma are eligible for CMSS.
- Gujarat Chief Minister’s Scholarship Scheme Rs. Applies to students with an annual family income of up to Rs 4.50 lakh.
Amount of assistance under Mukhyamantri Scholarship Scheme
- Eligible students who get admission in diploma courses after standard 10 will get 50% of the fixed annual tuition fee of Rs. 50,000 whichever is less.
- Eligible undergraduate students after the diploma will be given 50 percent of the tuition fee for engineering and vocational courses or Rs. 1 lakh, whichever is less.
List of documents required for Hon. Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme
- Aadhar card of the applicant.
- Candidate’s previous class mark sheet.
- Certificate of income of the candidate’s family.
- Student’s gender certificate.
- Residence certificate of the candidate.
- Student bank account details.
- Students’ school / college admission certificate.
- Scanned passport-size photo of the applicant.
How to Apply For Hon. Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme
- First, you have to type “scholarships Gujarat gov in” in www.google.co.in the Chrome browser of the mobile/computer.
- In which the website has to be opened by clicking on https://scholarships.gujarat.gov.in/ from the result that appears in Google Search.
- After opening the website, click on “New Application” Students who get admission in the first year will have to make a new application
- And for students receiving assistance in the year 2018/19, the year 2019-20, the year 2020-21 will be able to apply for online renewal of the 2nd / 3rd / 4th year.
- From the page that opens, click on the “New App / Renew” option available in the menu bar.
- Select year of admission and board
- After selecting the stream
- Enter your 12th seat number.
- Date of birth, enter the mobile phone number,
- Click on the “Get Password” option
